Thalassoterapia Opatija
Radiological examinations and findings play a significant role in recognising many diseases. Moreover, it is often included in treating and monitoring treatment outcomes, which is why radiology is an essential part of modern medicine.
In the Radiology Unit of Thalassotherapia Opatija, you can perform diagnostics of all organ systems.
The Radiology Unit is equipped with computerised tomography and magnetic resonance devices, X-ray and ultrasound devices, which are operated by a team of 10 specialists (3 radiology specialists, one intern and 6 radiological technologists).
A particular focus of our interest is cardiovascular radiology, musculoskeletal system radiology and neuroradiology. In addition, we closely cooperate with numerous specialists from our institution and external institutions.
In our institution, radiological examinations are performed by patients from all over Croatia.
We perform a considerable number of CT coronary angiography and MR heart. In addition, in cooperation with our rheumatologists, we have narrowly specialised in performing magnetic resonance examinations for rheumatological patients with inflammatory low back pain (most often of the spine and sacroiliac joints).
We have been included in the National Program for Screening and Early Detection of Lung Cancer since its very beginning in 2020. A low-dose chest CT is performed on a computerised tomography device in smokers aged 55 to 75, who are referred for examination by a selected family medicine doctor.
