It is also the Reference Centre for Cardiac Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia and the Clinic for the Treatment, Rehabilitation and Prevention of Diseases Heart and Blood Vessel,  Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka.

We are dedicated to preventing and controlling heart and blood vessel diseases and improving heart and blood vessel disease treatment and cardiac rehabilitation services.

Our activities aim to significantly reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality and reduce and even eliminate the resulting disability from cardiovascular diseases. Unfortunately, cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death in Croatia and the world. However, medicine of the 21st century can and should change that statistic, and our institution is one of the agents of change.

As a reference centre for the rehabilitation of heart patients, Thalassotherapia Opatija provides patients with medical examinations and diagnostic tests on modern diagnostic devices, the application of innovative methods, as well as overall health treatment, care and education about the importance of healthy lifestyle and health care.

We modulate programs for patients with different cardiac pathologies, from simple to the most complex (for example, after a heart transplant).

Thalassotherapia Opatija provides services aimed at preventing and controlling diseases of the heart and blood vessels, services for treating diseases of the heart and blood vessels, and cardiac rehabilitation services. We have been taking care of your heart and the hearts of your loved ones for more than 65 years.
